picked up a book of Astronomy
Curious pictures
a beauty I found hard to believe
my mind was Blind
in a World bright with Mystery
i am not Omniscient
there is a Limit to what I can see.

telescopes, microscopes,
they’re all just the same
they’re just prescription glasses but for my brain

and so i search for Stardust
the Stardust in our cells
there are Cosmos within us
are we under some Spell???

never leaves the hospital anymore.
he’s got his father’s eyes that you can’t ignore
who was just like him 25 years before.

his blood surrounds his heavy walls.
his health impaired by things so Small.
ACE, Adrenaline, and Cortisol.
nothing can get his blood pressure to fall

the Body, my Galaxy
to search for the Unknown
someday we’ll be able to take daniel home

and so i search for Stardust
